    about the namgi library fest

    Namgi Library Fest is dedicated to Namjoon and Yoongi's love of books.This fest invites everyone to take their favorite quote, dialogue or passage, from a fictional novel and reimagine the story where Namjoon and Yoongi are your protagonists.

    some rules to be followed

    General Rules• This is a Namgi-centric fest. Your pairing must be Namjoon and Yoongi only. Romantic and platonic prompts are both welcome. (If platonic, the focus must still be on Namjoon and Yoongi.)
    • SFW and NSFW works are also allowed. We only ask to tag accordingly.    For Prompters• The prompt must include a quote, dialogue or passage, from the novel, as well as the title and author of the novel.
    • The prompt must be from an existing published novel.
    • Either Namjoon or Yoongi must take on the protagonist role.
    • Include your DNWs and DWs, but remember to give room for your writers to be inspired.
    • Up to 15 prompts per prompter.    For Writers• You're free to interpret the prompt however you like. (i.e., you can follow the novel's storyline to a T or come up with your own)
    • Claim up to 3 prompts only, including self-prompts. Self-prompt options will be provided.
    • WIPs and multi-chaptered fics are allowed, as long as it meets the 2,000 word count.
    • The minimum word count for completed fics is 1,000.

    Can we write in a different Namjoon or Yoongi ship?No, we discourage other ship endgames for this fest. This fest focuses on Namgi-centric stories, whether romantic or platonic.Are we allowed to write canon compliant fics?Yes. While we're ecstatic about the new universes you'll be creating with Namgi at the center of it, we're also (very) happy to read canon compliant/divergent works.
